H1N1: biggest media scandal of the….ever
The ‘Mexicaanse Griep’ / ‘Swine Flue’ was never a pandemic! How’s that for a statement.
”We have had a mild flu – and a false pandemic,” says Wolfgang Wodarg, the chair of the Health Committee in The European Council. The German parliamentarian is also an epidemiologist and former health director in Flensburg. For that reason he has followed the H1N1-pandemic closely since June 11 and up to the present. He calls the pandemic “one of the greatest medical scandals of the century”, and for that reason he has decided to take the case to the European Council.
Is he right, or is this one scientist gone mad? I don’t know. What I do know is that the assumed pandemic has cost us millions of euros. In Engeland the government warned for 65.000 deaths. The entire country prepared for a worst-case-sceario: specials websites, special call centers, extra medical training, enourmous logistic operation for the distribution of the vaccins, military on standby in case riots occur around the vaccins distribution, extra morgues…..
In England instead of the 65.000 predicted deaths we’ve (so far) had 254. Thank god. So, the question now is: was it really this bad and are we just lucky things ended so well, or is some farmacy-guy now laughing out loud and sitting on his newly earned mony?
